Jahnvi of Class VIII ,our young author, has published her first book on the Bribooks platform, achieving an inspiring milestone at a young age. The book was inaugurated with great pride by our officiating Principal ma'am, in coordination with our Librarian, Shri Shafi Sir.
We are delighted to share that the printed copy of her book has also been received, adding even more joy to this special achievement.

Me and My Reading” Programme – National Library Week 2025

As a part of the National Library Week Celebrations 2025, the “Me and My Reading” programme was conducted with great success at the school. During the morning assembly, teachers shared their personal reading experiences, favourite books, and the role of reading in shaping their lives and careers. The sessions were highly inspiring and motivated students to develop a strong reading habit.

The teachers’ engaging interactions created a positive impact on students and encouraged them to explore books beyond their textbooks. The programme effectively highlighted the importance of reading for knowledge, creativity, and personal growth. 





Folktales Fiesta 2025
















Our Vidyalaya successfully conducted the “Folktales Fiesta” – Storytelling Competition under the National Library Week celebrations. The event aimed to promote reading habits, enrich imagination, and encourage students to explore the rich treasure of Indian and world folktales.

Students from various classes participated enthusiastically, presenting stories from different cultures with confidence, expression, and creativity. Participants used beautiful props, voice modulation, and gestures to bring their folktales alive. Their captivating performances made the audience feel the magic of storytelling.

The judges appreciated the storytelling skills of the students and encouraged them to continue reading and narrating stories. Winners were awarded certificates, and all participants were applauded for their efforts.

The programme concluded with a message highlighting the importance of libraries, books, and the timeless tradition of storytelling in shaping young minds.


PAPER MODE QUIZ USING QR CODE



A paper mode quiz using QR codes was successfully conducted during the library period using the Wayground platform, with enthusiastic participation from students. To ensure smooth execution, the librarian scanned the QR code using his mobile phone, and the live leaderboard and results were displayed on the PC in real time. This created great excitement and healthy competition among the students.

The innovative combination of traditional paper-based quiz and digital technology made the activity highly engaging. Students participated actively with keen interest and excitement. The live display of scores motivated the students to perform better and added to the overall enthusiasm. The activity helped students enhance their general knowledge, quick response skills, and digital awareness.

Overall, the quiz was a grand success and made the library period more interactive, informative, and enjoyable for the students.

The objective of the activity was to encourage creativity among students and to promote the habit of reading. Students participated with great enthusiasm and showcased their artistic skills through innovative and colourful bookmark designs.

The participants created wonderful bookmarks using their imagination, highlighting themes related to books, reading, knowledge, and libraries. The competition provided a creative platform for students to express their ideas and enhanced their interest in library activities. The active participation and joyful involvement of students made the event a grand success.

Celebrating creativity: 'My Surroundings' initiative winners 2025






The Vidyalya library proudly organized the ‘My Surroundings’ initiative, where students showcased creative projects on their neighbourhood, nature, personal experiences, and local tourist attractions. The activity received an enthusiastic response, reflecting the curiosity and observational skills of our young learners. Principal Sh. Banshi Lal honoured the winners by distributing certificates and prizes. Congratulations to the achievers: First Position – Sachi Salunke (7B), Second Position – Arushi Dewangan (8A), and Third Position – Rafa Fathima (7C) and Neha Shri G M (7A). Well done to all participants for their wonderful efforts!

National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad (NIDA) and its extension campuses at Gandhinagar & Bengaluru, is an ‘Institute of National Importance’ as per the NID Act 2014. NID functions as an autonomous Institute under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.

All candidates applying for the B.Des. must fulfil the eligibility criteria of both age and educational qualification as under. 

Age Limit:

 ▪ For Indian Nationals in General Category and General EWS Category: Only those candidates born on or after 1 July 2005 are eligible to apply for admission. 

▪ For Indian Nationals in Reserved Category (Other Backward Class-Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST): Only those candidates born on or after 1 July 2002 are eligible to apply for admission. 

▪ For Indian Nationals in PwD Reserved Category: Only those candidates born on or after 1 July 2000 are eligible to apply for admission.

 ▪ For Foreign Nationals in Overseas (Supernumerary) Category: Only those candidates born on or after 1 July 2005 are eligible to apply for admission. 

Educational Qualification: Applications for academic year 2026-27 are open to candidates who have passed or will appear for higher secondary (10+2) qualifying examinations in the academic year 2025–26 in any stream (Science, Arts, Commerce, Humanities etc.) from any recognized board of education such as CBSE, IB, ICSE or equivalent. Candidates who will be appearing for higher secondary (10+2) qualifying examinations in the academic year 2025–26, should have passed the same in the first attempt and submit their qualifying marksheet on or before 15 July 2026. If the candidate has any backlog/ compartment/supplementary or fails to submit his/her Class XII passing result or have not cleared the Class XII examination on or before 15 July 2026, whatsoever may be the reason, his/her admission will be treated as null and void (cancelled) and the entire fees will be forfeited

Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) 2026: Apply Now

 


Admissions to the Bachelor of Design (BDes) programmes at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Indore, IIT Roorkee and IIITDM Jabalpur are done through the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED). Students who have passed Class XII (or equivalent) in 2025, or appearing in 2026, in ANY STREAM (Science, Commerce, or Arts & Humanities) are eligible to appear for UCEED 2026.

IMPORTANT DATES

Last date for Online Registration with regular fee: October 31, 2025

Last date for Online Registration with late fee: November 07, 2025, 5:00 pm

UCEED 2026: date and time of exam: : January 18, 2026 (Sunday)

09:00 am to 12:00 noon


Eligibility Criteria for appearing for the Exam

A candidate, including a foreign national, must simultaneously fulfil every one of the following three criteria to appear in UCEED 2026.

Criterion 1 – Age limit:
The candidate should have been born on or after October 1, 2001, if belonging to the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category and born on or after October 1, 1996, if belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category.

Criterion 2 – Number of attempts:
A candidate can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times, and that too in consecutive years. Note that the UCEED score is valid for one year and only for admissions in the same corresponding academic year.

Criterion 3 – Qualifying examination:
A candidate should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2025 OR 2026 to be eligible for attempting UCEED 2026. Students from ALL STREAMS (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible.

Those who appeared for the first time in their qualifying examination (Class XII) in 2024 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in UCEED 2026.

Hindi book exhibition organised at KV Donimalai



The Vidyalaya Library organised a Hindi Book Exhibition as part of the Hindi Pakwada Celebrations from September 10, 2025 to September 12, 2025. The programme was inaugurated by the Principal, Sh. Banshi Lal. Dr. Santhosh Kumar Yadav (PGT Hindi) and Sh. Kriparam (TGT SST) graced the inaugural function with their presence. Vidyalaya Librarian, Sh. Muhammed Shafi V, proposed the vote of thanks.

A wide variety of books in Hindi, including biographies, fiction, poetry, non-fiction, motivational works, grammar, and essays, were attractively displayed in the library. The exhibition received enthusiastic participation, with students and staff members of the Vidyalaya visiting and appreciating the collection.

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026: Apply Now

 


The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national level admission test for admissions to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programmes offered by 25 National Law Universities in India.

CLAT is organized by the Consortium of National Law Universities, comprising representative universities.

Several affiliate universities and organisations also use the CLAT exam for admissions and recruitment respectively.

All admissions to the 5-year integrated LL.B. and LL.M. programmes that commence in the Academic Year 2026-2027 shall be through the CLAT 2026

Important Dates

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 shall be conducted on Sunday, December 7 th 2025, from 2 PM-4 PM. The portal for applying for the CLAT 2026 will become functional from the 1 st of August 2025 and will remain so until 31 st October 2025, the last date of application for CLAT 2026. 

UG Eligibility

  1. There is no upper age limit for candidates appearing for UG Programme for the CLAT 2026
  2. Candidates who have passed in 10+2 or an equivalent examination with a minimum of:
  3. Forty five percent (45%) of marks or its equivalent in grade or
  4. Forty Percent (40%) of marks or equivalent in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories.
  5. Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination in March/ April, 2026 are also eligible to apply. However, they shall be required to produce an evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission.

In celebration of National Reading Month 2025, Vidyalaya hosted a captivating "Meet the Author" program (ONLINE) featuring renowned children's book author, Ms. Vidya Varadarajan. The event brought together students from classes 3-5, who enthusiastically engaged with the author and gained valuable insights into the world of reading and writing.

Key Highlights:

Inspiring Young Readers: Ms. Varadarajan's interaction with the students inspired them to develop a love for reading and writing, fostering creativity and imagination in young minds.

Indian Maritime University (IMU) Common Entrance Test: Apply Now


The Indian Maritime University (IMU), headquartered in Chennai, was established on 14th November 2008 as a teaching-cum-affiliating university under the aegis of the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India. It was set up to promote maritime studies, training, research and extension with focus on emerging areas like oceanography, maritime history, maritime laws, maritime security, search and rescue, transportation of dangerous cargo, environmental studies and other related fields, and to achieve excellence in these areas. 

IMU has 6 Campuses at Chennai, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai Port, Navi Mumbai and Visakhapatnam. 

IMU offers under- graduate, post-graduate and doctoral studies in maritime fields through its four schools spread over six IMU Campuses and its Affiliated Institutes across India. The programmes offered are unique and tailor made to suit the industry needs. This fact is corroborated by a placement record which is among the best in the country.

IMU Common Entrance Test (IMU-CET)

IMU conducts the Common Entrance Test (IMU-CET) every year on All India basis for admissions to its Programmes for IMU campuses, Affiliated Institutes and Non-Affiliated Institutes with IMU. As per DGS Training Circular 12 of 2020, dated 01.04.2020, all Maritime Training Institutes [MTIs] regulated by DG Shipping are required to admit candidates on the basis of IMU-CET ranking and as amended from time to time.
