Apply National Common Entrance Test [NCET] 2025 for admission to 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP)
The National Testing Agency has been invited applications from the eligible candidates for National Common Entrance Test (NCET), an admission test to 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) in selected Central/State Universities/Institutions including IITs, NITs, RIEs, and Government Colleges etc. for the Academic Session 2025-26.Candidates who will be appearing in NCET 2025 will participate in the Counselling/Admission process of any Central/State University / Institution (IITs, NITs, RIEs, and Govt. Colleges etc.) which have been granted recognition by NCTE for ITEP for the academic session 2025-26. University/ Institution /Govt. College etc. may fill up the vacant seats thereafter from the pool of NCET-qualified candidates. ITEP include B.A. B.Ed, BSc. B.Ed., and B.Com. B. E.d. courses.

Online Submission of Application Form: 20 February to 16 March 2025 (up to 11:30 P.M.).
Last date of successful transaction of fee through Credit/Debit Card/Net-Banking/UPI: 16 March 2025 (up to 11:50 P.M.)

Instruction for filling applications:
Before starting to fill the application form candidates are advised to read the Prospectus displayed on the website of the NTA / NCTE / University / Institution / Government College etc. where admission is sought and be clear about the courses offered by them, seats available, eligibility with regard to age, passing/appearing in qualifying exam, minimum marks in the qualifying exam, relaxation thereof, reservation, admission procedure, etc. before applying for the NCET 2025, as Universities have their own specific requirements for admission to specified courses (discipline/stage).
Eligibility:
The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/ State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi; etc. or equivalent. For appearing in the NCET 2025, there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed the class 12 /equivalent examination or are appearing in 2025 irrespective of their age can appear in the NCET 2025 examination. However, the candidates will be required to fulfill the age criteria (if any) of the University / Institution / Government College to which they are desirous of taking admission

National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is a compulsory test for students seeking admission to National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai. Both NISER and UM-DAE CEBS were set up by Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India in 2007. Their mandate is to train scientific manpower for carrying out cutting edge scientific research and for providing input to scientific programmes of Department of Atomic Energy and other applied science institutions in the country. NEST 2025 will be conducted in around 140 cities across India..
The candidates admitted to the programme in NISER, or CEBS, are eligible to receive an annual scholarship of ₹60,000 through the DISHA program of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. In addition, the scholarship recipients receive a grant of ₹20,000 per annum for the summer internship. Alumni of the programme are presently pursuing Ph.D. at reputed universities and institutes in India & abroad. Besides, top performers at NISER and CEBS, securing overall grades above a certain threshold at the end of the programme, are eligible to appear directly for the interview for admission to Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) training school.
Programmes @ NISER
NISER offers a 5 year integrated M.Sc. programme in Biological, Chemical, Mathematical and Physical sciences. Along with the major subject, a student can have minor in Biology, Chemistry, Computer science, Mathematics or, Physics. NISER functions from its campus at Jatni. Degrees at NISER will be awarded by the Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), a deemed-to-be University within the Department of Atomic Energy.
Programmes @ UM-DAE CEBS MUMBAI
The Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, has an autonomous Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences in Mumbai. CEBS offers high quality teaching embedded in a vibrant post-graduate and research environment with some of the best teachers and scientists from major institutions in the city (TIFR, BARC, IIT) and the University of Mumbai and its colleges, as its faculty. The Centre is located in the Vidyanagari campus of the University of Mumbai. CEBS offers a 5 year integrated M.Sc. programme in Biological, Chemical, Mathematical and Physical sciences. The degrees at CEBS are awarded by the 150-year old University of Mumbai.

Eligibility
- The candidates who have cleared the 12th Standard examination or equivalent in 2023, 2024 or those who will be appearing for the 12th Standard examination or equivalent in 2025, irrespective of category and age, will be considered to be eligible for admission to the Integrated M.Sc. programme of NISER/CEBS in 2025.
- At least 60% marks in aggregate (or equivalent grade) in Class XII examination from any recognized Board in India. For Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates and for Divyangjan candidates, the minimum requirement is 55%.
- Candidate should secure a position in the NEST 2025 merit list.
There is no upper age limit for appearing in the NEST 2025 examination and admission to either NISER or UM-DAE CEBS.

Book Exhibition organised on the occasion of Republic Day 2025
A grand book exhibition was organised from January 24, 2025 to January 28, 2025 at Kendriya Vidyalaya Donimalai in connection with Republic Day 2025, celebrating India's rich history, culture, and heritage. The event, which showcased a wide array of books, was inaugurated by the distinguished guest, Sh. Raja R B (State Level Resource Person & Teacher at GHPS, Katinakamba) in the presence of the school principal, Sh. Banshi Lal, and the librarian, Sh. Muhammed Shafi. The exhibition attracted students, teachers, and visitors, offering them a unique opportunity to explore India’s culture, arts, and pivotal historical moments.
The exhibition featured a diverse collection of books focusing on various aspects of Indian society, including:
Culture and Art Forms in India: A special section was dedicated to India’s vast cultural heritage, showcasing books on classical music, dance forms, art, architecture, and traditional crafts from across the country.
Geography of India: This section highlighted the geographical diversity of India, including its landscapes, rivers, mountains, and the importance of regional resources.
Freedom Struggle: Books on India's freedom movement took center stage, with volumes that chronicled the contributions of notable leaders and unsung heroes who fought for India's independence.
The Constitution of India: A selection of books detailing the Constitution of India and its significance in shaping the democratic framework of the nation were on display, educating students on the fundamental rights and duties of citizens.
Social Reformers: The exhibition also paid tribute to the social reformers who played a key role in transforming Indian society. Books on figures such as Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Swami Vivekananda, and Mahatma Gandhi were prominently displayed.
Developmental Projects: In a modern context, the exhibition also included literature on India’s ongoing developmental projects, infrastructure advancements, and initiatives for the upliftment of rural and urban areas.
