Me and My Reading” Programme – National Library Week 2025

As a part of the National Library Week Celebrations 2025, the “Me and My Reading” programme was conducted with great success at the school. During the morning assembly, teachers shared their personal reading experiences, favourite books, and the role of reading in shaping their lives and careers. The sessions were highly inspiring and motivated students to develop a strong reading habit.

The teachers’ engaging interactions created a positive impact on students and encouraged them to explore books beyond their textbooks. The programme effectively highlighted the importance of reading for knowledge, creativity, and personal growth. 





Folktales Fiesta 2025
















Our Vidyalaya successfully conducted the “Folktales Fiesta” – Storytelling Competition under the National Library Week celebrations. The event aimed to promote reading habits, enrich imagination, and encourage students to explore the rich treasure of Indian and world folktales.

Students from various classes participated enthusiastically, presenting stories from different cultures with confidence, expression, and creativity. Participants used beautiful props, voice modulation, and gestures to bring their folktales alive. Their captivating performances made the audience feel the magic of storytelling.

The judges appreciated the storytelling skills of the students and encouraged them to continue reading and narrating stories. Winners were awarded certificates, and all participants were applauded for their efforts.

The programme concluded with a message highlighting the importance of libraries, books, and the timeless tradition of storytelling in shaping young minds.


PAPER MODE QUIZ USING QR CODE



A paper mode quiz using QR codes was successfully conducted during the library period using the Wayground platform, with enthusiastic participation from students. To ensure smooth execution, the librarian scanned the QR code using his mobile phone, and the live leaderboard and results were displayed on the PC in real time. This created great excitement and healthy competition among the students.

The innovative combination of traditional paper-based quiz and digital technology made the activity highly engaging. Students participated actively with keen interest and excitement. The live display of scores motivated the students to perform better and added to the overall enthusiasm. The activity helped students enhance their general knowledge, quick response skills, and digital awareness.

Overall, the quiz was a grand success and made the library period more interactive, informative, and enjoyable for the students.

As a part of the National Library Week Celebrations 2025, a Bookmark Designing Competition was successfully conducted at KV Donimalai. The objective of the activity was to encourage creativity among students and to promote the habit of reading. Students participated with great enthusiasm and showcased their artistic skills through innovative and colourful bookmark designs.

The participants created wonderful bookmarks using their imagination, highlighting themes related to books, reading, knowledge, and libraries. The competition provided a creative platform for students to express their ideas and enhanced their interest in library activities. The active participation and joyful involvement of students made the event a grand success.

Celebrating creativity: 'My Surroundings' initiative winners 2025






The Vidyalya library proudly organized the ‘My Surroundings’ initiative, where students showcased creative projects on their neighbourhood, nature, personal experiences, and local tourist attractions. The activity received an enthusiastic response, reflecting the curiosity and observational skills of our young learners. Principal Sh. Banshi Lal honoured the winners by distributing certificates and prizes. Congratulations to the achievers: First Position – Sachi Salunke (7B), Second Position – Arushi Dewangan (8A), and Third Position – Rafa Fathima (7C) and Neha Shri G M (7A). Well done to all participants for their wonderful efforts!
